Our Story

Altima Concept was founded in 1996 by Filipe Nepomuceno, a businessman who infused the company with his signature energy, warmth and uniquely creative flair. Now a division of Cantrav Services Inc. and guided by the same principals, Altima includes a team of dedicated professionals who pride themselves on focusing on every aspect of the DMC experience to ensure that each event is fresh, unique, current and unforgettable. Altima Concept is a boutique Destination Management Company bringing the distinctly unique Quebec experience to life for your conference, group experience or incentive trip.

We are your destination management experts in the French jewel of North America, and have a team ready to professionally customize your events in and around Montreal, and across Quebec.

We begin by taking the time to understand each client’s goals and objectives, and then work to tailor the experience to our exacting standards.

We bring to the table a full network of service providers to ensure that your experience not only exceeds your expectations, but that it leaves a lasting memory in your participants’ minds.

Regional Director, Operations

Heather Schidlowsky is an avid and well-respected Event Planner and Consultant, based in Montreal, Quebec.

Her notable career spans 2 decades; the core of which has been spent working as Senior Program Manager and Director of Operations within the world of Destination Management. 

With formal training in Tourism, Hospitality and Hotel Management, Heather began this métier in the hotel industry, spending 6 years in Convention and Group Services for Montreal’s first boutique hotel.

2002 marked the beginning of her headlong dive into the exciting world of DMC. While managing corporate and incentive programs, Heather honed her organizational skills and acquired valuable experience along with an important network of event partners and industry contacts.

When not having fun dreaming up creative themed events, or conceiving ‘perfect fit’ teambuilding activities, or coordinating logistics on conference transportation, for instance, this passionate Planner also enjoys taking a bite out of life, particularly with music, food, wine and spirits, travel, and sometimes just the idea of travel!

It is impossible know what came first; Joyce’s love of entertainment, food & drink, her adoration of this incredible city, province and country, or her drive to provide outstanding hospitality and service. Whichever, it only makes her professional training in Hospitality Management and her chosen career ideal to offer the best to our clients.

Joyce brings with her nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality and tourism industries, including a 9 year layover living in beautiful Banff, Alberta. There, Joyce had the opportunity to pamper and provide epic experiences to incentive travel groups from around the world. As well; she realized that her own personal mission in life was to enhance and enrich the lives of others.

Most recently, while focusing on her own family, Joyce helmed two entrepreneurial and philanthropic adventures with the purpose of helping schools, charities, personal wellness, and the environment.

Joyce has the gift of gab, a knack for developing relationships, as well as a crazy sense of humour (which was a job prerequisite!) and her energy and enthusiasm are infectious. Along with her dedication to fun and adventure and her commitment to excellence, she’s a perfect fit and thrilled to have joined Altima Concept and the Cantrav Team in the Montreal Office.

Event Coordinator

Victor kickstarted his career in some of the best hotels of Brazil while studying in Tourism & Hotel Management. This fueled his passion to pursue the crazy and exciting world of events!

He has since accumulated more than a decade of event coordination and management experience through a variety of enriching projects such as the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where he coordinated the tasks of 1000 volunteers! As well, he was event coordinator and production assistant for the Miss Angola Pageant in Africa for 7 years in a row. He has lived and worked in the field in Brazil, of course, but also the United States, UAE, Australia, and Canada, where he has now made his home.

With his sunny Brazilian disposition, a sincere care for great guest experiences, and a wealth of event coordination experience from across the globe, Victor is a great asset to the Montreal Operations Team.
